Saudi Arabia’s parallel market index, Nomu, fell 1.79% on Sunday as selling pressure hit most listed names, leaving 61 stocks lower and turnover at just 14.44 million riyals.
Saudi Nomu Falls 1.79% as Small Caps Sell Off

The benchmark closed at 21,043.74 points, down 383.42 points, in a session that was broadly weak despite modest pockets of strength. Only 12 companies advanced while 50 were unchanged, underscoring the depth of the retreat in a market that typically sees thinner liquidity and sharper price swings than the main Saudi bourse.

The decline was led by steep losses in small-cap names. Kair tumbled 27.18% to 0.75 riyals, while Sahat Al Majd dropped 15.11% to 5 riyals and Binaa fell 9.76% to 30.32 riyals.
Gainers were limited. Afaq Food rose 8.26% to 38 riyals, Al Muneef gained 6.50% to 3.93 riyals, and Al Ashghal Al Mayssarah and APECO also posted modest advances.

Trading was concentrated in a handful of shares, with APECO ranking first by value at 2.42 million riyals. Qimmat Al Saudiya followed with 1.03 million riyals despite falling 3.05%, while Dar Al Markabah was the most actively traded by volume at 2.11 million shares.
For investors, the session points to fragile risk appetite in Nomu, where limited liquidity can amplify moves in both directions and make it harder for buyers to absorb selling. The focus now shifts to whether turnover stabilizes and whether the index can recover after a broad-based pullback led by its most actively traded names.
